The land

In the heart of the charming "Mostviertel" region in Lower Austria the ashram is located in a quiet settlement of only few farm houses, right next to the forest. The view of the typical pear and apple trees warms your heart while the father mountain "Ötscher" watches over you majestically.

During retreats you can have long forest walks or just sit and listen to a variety of bird songs.

You can reach Wieselburg, the closest city, by following a forest path for about an hour.

Ashram Life

An ideal day at the ashram is spent in constant remembrance of the Self. This intention should be renewed daily by formal practice, morning and evening, either privately or together with others.
In between we engage in meaningful work or family duties, and strive to make our life our sadhana by purifying ourselves and sanctifying the space through our actions. We strive to practice kriya yoga in its broader sense:

ACTION WITH AWARENESS

KriyaMandiram endeavors reconciliation of the householder & family life with the spiritual life. Usually 4-6 people reside at the ashram, this includes Chaitanya's family and one or two other sadhakas.
